Bioenergy and non-fossil materials represent an important opportunity to strengthen energy independence, reduce reliance on fossil fuels, and increase the resilience of European economies.\nAs the European Union faces increasing pressure from rising defence spending and upcoming decisions related to the future EU budget, it is essential to ensure that research and innovation in bioenergy and bio-based solutions remain a strategic priority.
