DESCRIPTION:\nOctober 2019 will mark one year since the launch of the 2018 updated European Bioeconomy Strategy, which put forward an action plan to develop a sustainable and circular bioeconomy.\nOctober 2019 will mark one year since the launch of the 2018 updated European Bioeconomy Strategy, which put forward an action plan to develop a sustainable and circular bioeconomy. To mark the occasion, and to find out what is happening with local bioeconomies, the European Economic and Social Committee, the European Committee of the Regions and the European Commission will hold an event to take stock of progress and to find out what is planned for the next few years.\nGuest speakers from governments, businesses, workers, academia and NGOs will be invited to discuss bioeconomy strategies, the importance of education and training, Europe’s blue bioeconomy, and the link between our bioeconomy and food.\nThe programme and the online registration form ( https://www.eesc.europa.eu/en/agenda/our-events/events/european-bioeconomy-regions-cities-and-civil-society/registration ) are available on our website.\nRegistrations will close on 30 September 2019 or when full capacity is reached.\nVenue: EESC, Room JDE 51 and 52, Rue Belliard 99, 1040 Brussels\nDate: Wednesday 16 October 2019, 9:00-13:00\n\n\nLabels:\n\n
