DESCRIPTION:The 5th International Conference on Bio-based Polymers and Composites (BiPoCo 2024 ( https://www.bipoco.hu/ )) takes place from 1 to 5 September in Esztergom, Hungary.\nThe first BiPoCo conference was held in 2012, focusing on the characterisation, modification, and application of biopolymers. The success of this event led to subsequent conferences in 2014 (Visegrád), 2016 (Szeged), and 2018 (Balatonfüred). Over the years, the BiPoCo team expanded the scope of the conference to include smart, nano-structured systems for delivery and controlled release, with a particular emphasis on biomedical applications of polymers. Unfortunately, BiPoCo 2020 was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the positive feedback and requests to continue this tradition have inspired the BiPoCo community to bring the event back.\nIn 2024, BiPoCo is held for the 5th time with a renewed focus on the sustainable production and application of biopolymers and their broader role in biomass-based value chains.\nFor more details and to register, visit the official BiPoCo website here ( https://www.bipoco.hu/ ).\n
