This document describes the framework for organising the online competition for teachers and students during the BLOOM project. At the core of educational activities carried out
during the BLOOM project lies the BLOOM School Box (Task 4.1) which has been developed by the pilot teachers and is currently available in the BLOOM repository.
The main aim of this competition is to upscale the use of the bioeconomy teaching resources included in the BLOOM School Box in classrooms. The competition is expected to inspire further interest around the BLOOM School Box educational materials in particular, and in the possibilities offered by teaching bioeconomy in triggering student interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects. The interdisciplinary school competition represents an important and strategic component for the dissemination and uptake of innovative STEM practices, and for the BLOOM project in particular the uptake of bioeconomy by young citizens.
