Artists’ tape has many different applications, but a common use of the tape is to create a hard edge. That is to say, when creating a non-objective painting and straight linear forms are required tape is used; and, gesso is painted between the tape and the canvas to prevent bleed or creep forming under the tape.

Artist tape, also known as drafting tape, is a low-tack tape that is commonly used by artists, designers, and architects for a variety of applications. It is typically used for temporary mounting of artwork, masking areas to prevent smudging or bleeding, and marking out straight lines or grids.

To use tape artist , simply tear off a length of tape and apply it to the surface you want to protect or mark. The low-tack adhesive ensures that the tape can be easily removed without damaging the surface or leaving a sticky residue behind.
