Bioeconomy Policy Framework
In Poland, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is the main body responsible for bioeconomy-related policy at the national level. It works in collaboration with other ministries such as the Ministry of Climate and Environment and the Ministry of Education and Science.
Key supporting institutions include: Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation – State Research Institute (IUNG-PIB), which leads research in bioeconomy, agroecology, and sustainable farming systems.
Current bioeconomy strategies and development trends
Poland is actively engaged in EU-level initiatives, projects, and regional cooperation through the BIOEAST Initiative to support the bioeconomy transformation.
