The Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU) has published its Annual Work Plan 2020 and Budget. Among others, the document contains the description of the scope and details of research and innovation activities of the call, and project management rules.
In 2020, the call has an indicative budget of EUR 102 million for a total of 16 topics with 5 RIAs topics, 4 CSAs, 4 DEMOs and 3 FLAGs with 4 strategic orientations: Feedstock, Process, Products, and Market uptake. The application period runs from 15th of April 2020 to 3th of September 2020.
For more information, BBI JU will organize an Info Day which will take place on 22 April 2020 as a virtual event only, due to safety and health considerations. The BBI JU via the BBI JU Partnering Platform offers networking opportunities as one-to-one remote meetings. The sheduled date are on the website.
These calls are relevant to all BIOEAST countries, and stakeholders from the bio-based value chains, including primary production and processing industries, consumer brands, SMEs, research and technology centres and universities.
Two BIOEAST Member States, Poland and Estonia have already held national BBI JU info days, while Latvia, Lithuania and Czech Republic are planning to organize virtual info days in the next month. Other BIOEAST countries like Hungary would like to have a personal information day in early summer. The organizers hope the circumstances will allow it by then.
