Circular Bioeconomy and Innovation Conference
What do Öseen, Öun Drinks, the Halinga green gas plant, wood valorisation, water solutions and marine innovation have in common? At the heart of them all is the ability to turn good ideas and existing resources into working innovation.
The conference “Circular Bioeconomy and Innovation” brings together entrepreneurs, researchers and developers who will share their practical experience of putting ideas into practice and of cooperation between science and business. Liisi Tampere from Öseen, Katrina Ahun from Öun Drinks, Raul Peetson from the Halinga green gas plant, Liselle Puhke from Miridon and Änn Jõgi from the Saare County Development Centre will present their stories and lessons learned. Professor Timo Kikas will explore the possibilities of chemical and microbiological valorisation of wood, and Piia Pääso will introduce the opportunities offered by the Adapter collaboration platform.
In addition, Kätlin-Chris Kruusmaa will give an overview of the amendments to the Anti-Corruption Act from the universities’ perspective. The closing panel discussion will address the opportunities and obstacles that accompany innovation on its journey from idea to real-world application.
