POLICY meets EXPERTS: Connecting Water, Soil and Climate Perspectives for action

We are pleased to invite you to our POLICY meets EXPERTS discussion, organized by the BIOEAST Thematic Working Group on Freshwater Based Bioeconomy. This online discussion brings together experts, policymakers, and project stakeholders to exchange perspectives on current water, soil and climate challenges.

Together, we will explore:

• Urgent climate challenges and the need for timely policy action
• Lessons from EU-funded projects, emerging innovation needs for tackling water scarcity
• The role of European Partnerships in mobilising the resources needed to turn innovation into action
• Regenerate and hydrate” as guiding principles for water-sensitive approaches within the Common Agricultural Policy
• The role of green water cycles in improving water retention across landscapes
• The Water–Soil–Climate Nexus as a cornerstone of effective freshwater policies and action
• BIOEAST’s potential macro-regional role in strengthening the water cycle and improving water retention

Rather than a traditional presentation-based event, the session will provide an opportunity for open exchange, discussion and knowledge sharing between different stakeholders.
